  • Guys... Come to watch volleyball? Or something else?

I'm on my high school's JV volleyball team. I can't help but notice the bleachers are crowded with guys- like the ratio of guys to girls is 20-1. And most of the time, they ASK us if we won or lost. How do you not know if we won or lost when you're sitting right there? I'm sure some come to watch the game, but it seems pretty stupid of them to come just to watch girls in spandex. Are they not embarrassed or ashamed? It kind of embarrasses me, and it definately isn't attractive to me.

Anyone else play volleyball and deal with it, or have any say on it?

  • Mindless Blogging

I don't post blogs a lot. That's because I don't want to be one of those people with 198347477417985721948 blogs about nothing. If you don't have something to say... don't say anything at all :)

    Who agrees with me?

  • I am SO sick of being bashed for being skinny.

You can't get away from it-

    "Ewww, look, she's small."

"Oh, she's skinny, she MUST be anorexic."

"No NORMAL person could be that skinny and be eating right."

"Men aren't attracted to skinny girls, don't you know?"

Now, I know that "skinny girls" have been picking on "fat" girls for ages. But now, it seems that the exact opposite is happening. Suddenly, curvy girls find it 100_0993bappropriate to bash thin, fit girls.

It HURTS. Just because we are skinny does not mean we are immune to name calling. I'm 5'6, 123 pounds, and proud of that. I have been active all my life, played sports, and basically, never sat on my butt. But lately, I've been bombarded with comments from girls about my size.

It's not like I'm a stick. I have curves where they are supposed to be, but I'm not fat. I can't count the amount of times someone has told me, "You're too skinny/ Your boobs are tiny/ Your butt is too small". The list goes on and on. I think Tyra Banks did a show on this awhile back, and I thank her. A trio of friends were on... two were big (yet beautiful) and the other was skinny, could not help it. The two bigger ones began saying, "Yeah, look at the skinny girl, look how tiny..."

Skinny does not mean insensitive. Neither does curvy.

I was talking to a close guy friend of mine... he said guys feel like they have to say they like big girls, because they get all mad if they say they like skinny girls, and when they say they like big girls skinny girls don't get upset or say anything.

It's taboo to call a girl fat... but not twhatagirlwants_bwgb06o call her skinny? Come on.

"Skinny" hurts. So does "fat". We all have different builds, we should be proud of them, and shut up about everyone else's. So next time you think of saying, "You're so skinny," Think twice.

What do you suppose your soul looks like?

i've always thought of it as a floaty silohette thing, and they're all different colors. I usually see blue or yellow or pink.

  • Celebs: Famous for Something or Famous for Nothing

Celebrities. There are so many today, it's hard to count. Some have worked hard, and have well deserved fame, while others are famous... well, for nothing. Here is a list of in my personal opinion, who deserves to be famous.

    The Somethings

    1. Miley Cyrus

A successful Disney series, movies, record deals, and a great voice... Whether you like her or not, you have to admit the kid worked for her fame.

    2. Heidi Klum

A Victoria's Secret model, high in the fashion business... while that can sound like something slutty or snotty, Heidi is far from it. She sends a positive image and seems to be intelligent. I mean come on... she's an underwear model and not trashy!

    3.Raven Symmone

I know we haven't heard from her in awhile, but she deserves to be mentioned. She, like Miley Cyrus, had a successful Disney series, movies, a CD, all that. She also is living proof that all body types are beautiful, and the image of having self- confidence. Good job Raven!

    4. Brad Pitt

Nuff said. He has been in so many movies, I can't even count.

    5. The Jonas Brothers

I'm not a personal fan. But still, they send a positive image to kids all over the country... And kinda remind me of the Jackson Five, but not nearly as big or talented in my opinion.

    The Nothings

    1. Kim Kardashian

Who? I had no clue who she was, but one day I started seeing her in tabloids and stuff... and gee, she has a sex tape. Hmm that's about it.

    2. Jessica Simpson

I like her and everything, she seems nice... but what did she ever do? A Pro-activ commercial?

    3. Paris Hilton

Well, I have to give her SOME credit. She did five seasons of The Simple Life and does all these little things... but really, what did she do to be famous?

    4. Robert Pattinson

I know. Twilight. But, that's it. He shouldn't get QUITE this much attention yet.

Well, there's my little rant and rave about celebs. Thanks for listening.

**note** I am NOT judging their character. Some who deserve fame could be mean, while some who don' tcould be nice.
